Not only is the oil hurting the whales directly but also killing their source of food. Killer whales eat sea lions and other smaller whales which are also effected by spills. Killer whales are the largest species in the dolphin family and are usually found in antartica.

I agree with Megan. The oil is hurting a lot of sea life and it would be very bad if one group of killer whales are killed. Oil spill are so dangerous! I think that some people don't realize that but it is. If we didn't spill oil then sea animals would still be big but with the oil in the water it is forcing the animals to eat the smaller animals that have eaten oil and it is just the food chain. We rely way to much on oil and NEED to stop soon or the ocean will be to oily for even us to go in it. people must know what's going on with oil spills and not ignore it!

It is sad that this oil is killing the whales that were already almost extinct. I also agree with Megan. The US and other countries really need to train their crews to prevent something tragic like this happening again!
