I really think the polar bears in the picture are adorable. It is sad that these bears are losing their homes. But everyone knows we can prevent this by fighting global warming.

did you know that Canadian research have found out that polar bear numbers on the western coast of Hudson Bay in Manitoba province - from 1200 to fewer than 1000 over the past 10 years - to the effects of global warming, and that the ice is melting which is making it hard for mother bears to build a den. they now will have to built it on the shores which are mostly sand.

Did you know that Canadian researchers have found out that polar bears on the western coast of Hudson Bay in Manitoba province are going from 1200 to fewer than 1000 over the past 10 years - to the effects of global warming, and that the ice is melting which is making it hard for mother bears to build a den. They now will have to build them on the shores which are mostly sand. I wonder if that will effect the way that polars will live forever? If global warming continues to happen then will they change just as apes did because they cannot have all that extra skin and fur?

While the polar bears homes are being destroyed by "global warming", these polar bears are still fighting for their lives, going out everyday of the bitter winter and trying to find a meal around the slushy landscape. What these animals are doing shows us how remarkable they are because they are some of their prey lead them out to thin ice, these animals will stay away because they know the could fall through they ice into what might be their watery grave.

That was really interesting I hope that we can stop global warming and save the polar bears. Is it true that polar bears are the most dangerous bears?

wow! it is very cool that scientists have made a radio collar that can tell if the bears are in their dens or not. I think it is very sad that the polar bears are losing their homes. I hope the bears will not become extinct. Also the bears in the picture are very cute.

That's so sad! *sob* I agree with everyone who says the polar bears in the pictures are cute. I hope we can stop warming up the earth even further to save these polar bears. I wonder how the researchers got the collars on the polar bears. I hope they didn't injure the animal. Note to Milan: your last few words are really dramatic, but it fits!

Polar bears are cute, but global warming has seemed to really effect the way polar bears act. The radio collar seems to be a good idea, but I have no clue of how they would put it on the mother polar bears unless they can somehow trap them and it put it on, but that seems too brutal. Polar bears are a huge reason why global warming is not good.

This article is very depressing. Another effect global warming has on polar bears is that reduction in sea ice cover forces bears to swim longer distances, which depletes their energy store and can ocasionally lead to drowning.

It's so sad that polar bears are loosing places to give birth. They are forced to give birth in unusual places that they are not used to. We hope this doesn't affect the way they raise their cubs. :(

Lets help the polar bears. That is horrible. We need to stop the global warming. If we don't stop the whole Artic might be gone.

I had no idea that polar bear cubs stayed with their mom for about two years. Polar bears are so interesting and if we don't help them then we can't find out as much as we could now. Help save the polar bears!
