I thought this article was sad. A lot of the ice that has been around for centuries is breaking and melting, causing the sea levels to rise, and endangering the animals that live in in the colder regions. I also think that it is excellent that humans have enough technology to track the movement of the ice. The ice is dying (in a way). Also at the end of the article, it says that it might be too late to save the polar regions, but that people can try to save the rest of the world, but why can't you slow down or even stop the ice from melting? The article makes it sound as if the polar regions are already hopeless, even though they are not.

I agree with alexis. Also, it is not good that a huge part of Antarctica fell off. Global warming really needs to come to an end, or it could effect us in the end. We might have to get used to temperatures lowering, but its to save the whole earth, not just us. :(

Wow!I knew that the ice was melting a little but I had no idea that it was melting that much. I am definetlly going to start saving energy. This is big news and I think that everyone should pitch i to help stop global warming. Sure, we won't be able to build back all the ice that has melted over the years , but we can help it from melting completlly. It's not just about the ice, the polar bears are coming close to extinction. The polar bears need our help or our kids won't see a polar bear
