Awesome! It should it stay in the same place so that the night/moon side at the time would not have to be shielded. I wish I could eat the "space donut" picture.

We think that this is a really good idea and it might help the earth but for right now we should look for cheaper options.

I think that that would be a great idea. I wonder if we could actually do that. If so when?

That was cool. I think that it might work, but it is a possibility that they could break in space or something, and how would they use magnetism to launch them?

Thats amazing! its a great way to slow down global warming. But I hope
that it dosent block the moon and the stars

is there a better idea? maybe we can make those solar paneled so that it takes that energy and and reduces the light so that global warming comes to an end

This is impossible! How can you launch 1 trillion, small sattelites
into space. It's easier to just stop making pollution. There has to be a better way to stop global warming

It may be possible, but it would be really expensive. I mean a trillion little shields that would have to have the right objects to protect it from space matter and junk. I would want to know how long it would take too.

i think that it would be amazing if people could actually put a shield above earth to deflect the sun's rays. its really important that we all work hard to help the environment and reduce the impact that we all have on the earth. although it would be a lot easier if there were billions of little space crafts helping us out. It would be hard because every time that one of the little "umbrellas" broke we would have to replace it and picture every umbrella breaking over time. the world would be less polluted but space would be!!!

I like this idea, but have doubts about it. First, preventing global warming. That sounds great. Competition:Have they even MADE them yet? If so, how will they launch them into space and how will they always stay in the same place? I really would like to support this idea, but it's not happening soon.

WOw! This incredible invention might even be the solution to global warming! But how would we get all of those tiny umbrellas into space? Wouldn't astronauts have to take a lot of trips to space to get all of them there?

I feel that this article was not very good because it had no fact behind its idea. Sending Thousands of umbrellas into space might help but also hurt. How much does the regular Hubble cost? It might cost less but not by much. We would need a space ship and lots of material that could stand up to the harmful conditions of space. You would also need to figure out how to not hurt the earth with the "UMBRELLAS". The situation that you would have created would maybe hurt more than it would have helped.

I think that scientists are getting a little to far with this idea. First, we are taking an idea that is still not decided. People are not sure that global warming is man made and I believe we have to do more research. Next, what are we thinking? I don't think people realize how much this is going to cost and how long it would take. This would be a real risk because we don't know if global warming is man-made, nor do we know if this idea will work. I agree with Cam about what material would they use to create the umbrellas. I say that we wait until further research and we double check the evidence because I am very skeptical about this.

WOW! Way to think outside the box! That is a great idea but like Grayson said I hope the moon and the stars get blocked, otherwise it is a great way of slowing down global warming. Then again, how?
