Functional MRIs have also shown that there are age differences in the way the people process similar tasks. You can give the same task to a 10 year-old and and 50 year-old person and different parts of their brains will be activated. This has implications for teaching and learning!

this is very odd that people are using MRIs or fMRIs and you can see what they're thinking about. I think they should have used six different voulenteers, a male and a female of each of these. kid, adult, teenager, and a person over the age of 70 (voulenteers, just voulenteers)

The technology is interesting, but I wouldn't wan't people to know what is going on in my mind every time they want!!! Also, I agree with Ben. It would have been wiser for the specialists to have more voulenteers for the experiments, because basing an experiment on merely two people is not accurate.

I think all of this is very interesting.

I would love to have one of those machines at home, but for local use only.

Interesting! I remember my parents telling me about how when scientists told other people to remember something, certain parts of their brain lit up in a color x-ray. Is it relative?
I also found it perplexing that people would be able to create a mind-reading machine. It sort of freaks me out in a way... But it's still awesome!!

We think that there should be no mind reading machines because people need their privacy. We still think it is cool but we don't want it in use. Everybody deserves to keep their thoughts to themselves and if they want to share they will do it on their own accord. Scientists should use this technology for something really useful. Like something to help the enviorment. We think they should stop making machines to invade people's privacy.
See you in class!
