That's awesome! I like the fact that we can eliminate so many man made materials with so many problems (eliminating the use of more petroleum as well) and replace them with an easily collected, natural silk. I think there should be more silkworm farms and we should collect enough silk to switch most of this country into using silk instead of petroleum. We should also have spider farms where each spider gets its own little (stressing little) cage to spin their silk. Silk should be used more often by humans, because it is easily obtained, natural, and doesn't harm the environment (DUH).

Though it is cool that we can get a goat to produce silk wouldn't that be kinda weird. Its also really interesting that you can use such a thin small material for such life threatening jobs like stitches, parachute cords and even bullet-proof vests... What if this stuff doesn't work? How would they test it before putting it into action. It is cool how silk worms and produce...silk...but the even cooler part is that things like spiders can make such diverse (sometimes anti-allergen) silk and insects like bees can make a golden like silk!!!!!!!!
