That is cool that leaves can produce carbon dioxide when they are broken down. I suppose that's why mulch works: it consists of leaves that are broken down and produce carbon dioxide.

My friend used to make his own compost. I think that the process is very interesting. I just read a magazine were a kid wrote about how they had a job making a compost bins.

I think that it is cool that the leaves can be broken down. The recycling is so cool. It is so cool that the leaves are like candy for fungi and bacteria that are on the ground. It is interesting that carbon is the building block for all life on Earth. I never knew that or thought that. I already knew that most of the carbon on Earth is stored in plants and soil, but never really thought about how important it is.

Wow. This is very long but cool. It is great that falling leaves help nature. Also, when the leaves help plants, the plants reproduce and make more plants to absorb even more of the CO2 in the atmosphere. If we recycle more and plant trees in every corner of the earth, then we might have a chance to avoid global warming.
